Manifestations of lymph node metastasis from nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Nasopharyngeal cancer patients with lymph node metastasis may present the symptom of painless lump. Nasopharyngeal cancer patients are very prone to lymph node metastasis, and the more typical lymph node metastasis site is the lymph nodes in the deep upper cervical group, which may present the symptom of painless lump, but the lymph nodes here are covered by sternocleidomastoid muscle and there are no obvious symptoms, so it is usually difficult to find them. Metastatic lymph nodes are usually painless, hard and pushable, and with the progression of the disease the lymph nodes may show progressive enlargement, or even fusion, adherence to the surrounding tissues, and non-pushable symptoms. Nasopharyngeal cancer patients with suspected lymph node metastasis are recommended to go to hospital for consultation and active treatment to avoid delaying their condition.
