Elevated creatine kinase (CK) greater than 2000 may be due to acute myocardial infarction or muscular pathology, but physiologic factors such as overexertion cannot be ruled out.The harm produced by CK is primarily related to the primary disease, and excessive CK can lead to persistent myocardial damage and aggravated skeletal muscle damage.
The normal value of creatine kinase (CK) is usually 18~198 U/L.
1.Pathologic factors:
(1) Acute myocardial infarction: the typical clinical manifestation is a sudden onset of pressure-like pain in the precordial region, which persists, accompanied by chest tightness and chest pain, and untimely treatment can lead to severe arrhythmia, cardiogenic shock or even death.
(2) Muscle lesions: such as progressive muscular dystrophy, mainly manifested as progressive aggravation of muscle atrophy and weakness, so that patients with varying degrees of movement disorders.
2. Physiological factors: late at night, excessive fatigue, excessive exercise and other physiological factors will also increase CK, long-term lack of exercise in people with strenuous exercise can significantly affect the body’s metabolism and the release of intracellular enzymes, serum CK will be significantly higher.
CK increase is not a separate disease, the most important thing is to deal with the primary disease that causes its increase, CK is greater than 2000, equivalent to 10 times the upper limit of normal, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible to do further examination in order to clarify the cause of the disease, and timely symptomatic treatment.
