Usually there are two ways of calcium supplementation, namely medication and food supplementation. Drug calcium supplementation can choose brands with calcium carbonate and lacto-calcium composition, which contain higher calcium and are more effective. The main source of calcium in food is dairy food. If children ensure 500ml of milk intake every day, such as formula, pure milk, yogurt, etc., they can ensure their daily physiological requirement of calcium. If milk intake is insufficient on a given day, an additional dose of calcium can be taken temporarily, and children are encouraged to consume other foods that contain more calcium, such as properly processed soy products, river shrimp, purple cabbage, and other dark leafy vegetables. Calcium supplementation must be accompanied by adequate vitamin D intake to promote good calcium absorption.
