The whole process of dental implantation may be generally divided into three steps, preimplantation preparation, implantation surgery, implantation of superstructure restoration and so on.
1. Pre-implantation preparation: Before implantation, oral CBCT is usually taken in the missing teeth area to clarify the alveolar bone condition of the missing teeth area and to decide the implantation surgery method.
2. Implant surgery: implant surgery is to implant the artificial tooth root implant into the alveolar bone of the missing tooth area, which needs to be carried out under local anesthesia, and according to the initial stability of the implant after implantation, it is decided whether it is embedded in the healing or directly connected to the healing abutment.
3. Implant superstructure restoration: After the implant is bonded to the alveolar bone, it usually takes at least three months before the superstructure crown is restored.
