The Infant Heimlich maneuver is mainly applied to infants who have inhaled a foreign body as follows:
The rescuer puts the infant face down, so that its body is placed on the arm and relies on the knee, the rescuer’s arm is attached to the chest, the thumb and the remaining four fingers are stuck in the position of the jawbone, the other hand is on the infant’s back and patted between the shoulder blades for 5 times, and then turn the infant over, and in the infant’s lower part of the sternum, press the chest with the forefinger and the middle finger for 5 times until the infant vomits out the foreign body.
If the above methods do not spit out the foreign body, it is recommended to take the infant to the hospital for relevant treatment in time, so as to avoid the foreign body stuck in the infant’s trachea, causing suffocation and other dangers.
