What kind of treatment is CRRT therapy

CRRT therapy, also known as continuous renal replacement therapy, can be used for diseases such as renal failure, acute drug or toxic poisoning, and refractory heart failure. CRRT therapy is a general term for blood purification methods that use slow and continuous water removal and solute exchange through diffusion and/or adsorption mechanisms for 24h or nearly 24h per day, which has the advantages of hemodynamic stabilization, regulation of immune status, weakening of inflammatory response, and effective removal of medium and large molecules. CRRT treatment can be applied to treat renal failure, acute drug or toxic poisoning, refractory heart failure, pulmonary edema, liver cirrhosis, hepatic encephalopathy, hepatorenal syndrome, nephrotic syndrome and other diseases, and it is recommended that patients follow the doctor’s instructions.
