Is ureteral reimplantation major surgery?

Ureteral bladder reimplantation is not a major urological procedure, but rather an intermediate urological procedure, mainly for lesions in the lower part of the ureter. This involves removing the terminal lesion, finding another suitable opening in the bladder, and anastomosing the ureter to the new opening in the bladder to treat the existing disease. This is usually accomplished by open or laparoscopic surgery, which requires resection of the lower lesion and appropriate clipping of the ureter, and anti-reflux measures during reimplantation with the bladder, so as to avoid direct reflux of urine from the bladder through the ureter to the kidneys after the surgery in a state of holding back the urine. Therefore, before the reimplantation surgery, it is necessary to design the surgical plan in detail and make the appropriate anti-reflux ones, so as to finally achieve the effect of effective treatment.
