Bile reflux gastritis is not cancerous in most cases, and even when it is, it takes a long time to develop, ranging from a few years to decades. Bile reflux gastritis is a relatively common type of chronic gastritis with a high incidence. Most patients with bile reflux gastritis can be controlled after active treatment. From normal gastric mucosa to bile reflux gastritis, atrophic gastritis, intestinal epithelial hyperplasia, intestinal epithelial allopatric hyperplasia, and finally to gastric cancer, it is a very long process, ranging from a few years to decades. Although the duration is long, it should still be taken seriously. Once diagnosed, bile reflux gastritis requires active and standardized treatment in order to get a good prognosis and avoid progression.
