Monkey Bone, also known as Rhesus Bone, is effective in removing wind and dampness (expelling wind-dampness from the body), suppressing fright, and stopping malaria (treating malaria).
Macaque Bone is made from the dried bones of macaques of the primate family, Macaca mulatta, and is flat in nature, sour in flavor, and is attributed to the heart and liver meridians. It can be used to treat wind-cold-dampness paralysis (pain and blockage caused by wind, cold and dampness), numbness of the limbs, pediatric eclampsia (epilepsy due to fright), and malarial fever (high fever after malaria).
Kiwi Bone can be used in decoction, crushed into pills or wine. Monkey bone should not be used in patients without yin deficiency and dampness-heat, and adverse effects are not known. The clinical application of this product is limited, patients with discomfort are recommended to consult a doctor promptly to identify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment.
