Merlin can be used to reduce fever because Merlin, or ibuprofen suspension, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, often used widely in clinical practice as an antipyretic and analgesic drug. The drug is rapidly absorbed orally, has relatively good bioavailability, and is metabolized through the liver. It is a routine antipyretic drug in children with fever. The most important adverse effects of Merlin are gastrointestinal irritation, but they are mild and do not affect the continuation of the medication if gastrointestinal irritation occurs. Some reactions such as headache, dizziness, platelet adhesion or aggregation, and rare allergic reactions such as nephrotoxicity and skin rash may occur. The drug is contraindicated in women with asthma, pregnant women, and nursing mothers, and should be used with caution in people with ulcers or a tendency to gastrointestinal bleeding.
