Efficacy of tobramycin sulfate injection

Tobramycin sulfate injection, the main ingredient of which is tobramycin, is used to kill sensitive bacteria and treat diseases caused by bacterial infections. Tobramycin belongs to the same class of drugs as gentamicin and streptomycin, all belong to the aminoglycoside class of antibiotics, mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins to kill bacteria, and belongs to a bactericidal agent. Tobramycin sulfate injection, clinically, is mainly used to treat infections of the genitourinary system, respiratory tract infections, burns or skin soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, abdominal infections, meningitis, sepsis, endocarditis and other infections caused by sensitive bacteria, and can also be used in combination with other antibacterial drugs to treat mixed bacterial infections, infections in patients with poor immunity, various more difficult to treat infections, etc. Tobramycin has nephrotoxicity as well as ototoxicity and must be closely monitored when applied. It is prohibited in pregnant women and preferably not used during lactation, and lactation must be suspended when used.
