There are a number of tests that can be done at any stage throughout the pregnancy, like blood tests, listening to the fetal heartbeat, blood pressure tests, and also urine tests and so on. But there are a few special tests that have to be done within a specified time frame. Early Downs screening is done between 9-14 weeks of menopause; midterm Downs screening is done between 16-21 weeks of menopause; mini-diagnostic tests are done between 11-13 weeks of pregnancy; diabetes screening is done between 24-28 weeks; and maxi-diagnostic tests are usually done for the first time by 20-26 weeks, and a second time is needed between 30-32 weeks. These tests are also very important during pregnancy and must be done in a timely manner.
