What is the efficacy of Chenpi honeysuckle in water?

Chenpi and honeysuckle together have the effect of clearing heat and removing toxins, regulating qi and strengthening the spleen. The active ingredients in the infusion are limited and generally do not achieve the therapeutic effect.
Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae is a qi-regulating medicine, which regulates qi and strengthens the spleen, dries dampness and resolves phlegm (dispelling dampness and resolving phlegm by drying dampness), and is used to treat stagnant qi in spleen and stomach and dampness obstruction in the epigastrium (abdomen), low food intake and vomiting, vomiting, eructation (hiccups), dampness-phlegm and cold-phlegm, coughing with excessive phlegm and pectoral palsy (tightness and pain in the chest) and other illnesses. Pericarpium Citriodora is pungent, bitter and dry, so it should be used with caution when there is solid heat inside and the tongue is red and there is little fluid.
Honeysuckle is a heat-clearing medicine, clearing heat and removing toxins, evacuating wind-heat, used for laryngeal paralysis (redness, swelling and pain in the pharynx, or dryness, feeling of a foreign body, or itchy pharynx, discomfort, dysphagia), dengtoxin (acute infectious disease, the skin can be seen to be red like paint), wind-heat colds, fevers of warm illnesses, febrile hemodysenteric dysentery (dysentery caused by feeling the heat and toxins, see blood in the stools), and so on.
Note that honeysuckle is contraindicated in people with cold spleen and stomach and pus-clearing sores with deficiency of qi. The adverse effects of the above drugs are not clear.
Patients are advised to seek prompt medical attention if they feel unwell. Do not take Chinese medicine blindly, need to use medicine under the guidance of a doctor.
