Immunotherapy drugs for liver cancer

Successful immunotherapy for liver cancer is PD-1 antibody therapy.PD-1 antibody applied alone in liver cancer treatment has an effective rate of 18%-20%. However, immunotherapy has entered the era of combination therapy, therefore, in the process of liver cancer treatment, in addition to single PD-1 treatment, most of them will consider combining with other drugs, and these combinations mainly include anti-angiogenic drugs, such as combining with bevacizumab. Early studies have reported that, with the combination of PD-1 antibody and bevacizumab, the effective rate of the patients can reach more than 50%, and the side effects are not particularly large. PD-1 antibody can also be combined with other targeted drugs to treat liver cancer, such as levatinib. The preliminary results also show that the efficiency rate is up to 60%, but the side effects are relatively big, so the clinical application needs to be careful. Overall, immunotherapy is playing an increasingly important role in the treatment of liver cancer, which is known as the king of cancers.
