Can acupuncture be used for facial neuritis?

Facial neuritis is the Western medical diagnosis called peripheral facial neuritis, which corresponds to the Chinese medical diagnosis called facial palsy. It refers to the paralysis of one side of the facial muscles, resulting in the loss of expression muscles and loss of motor function. Facial nerve palsy, facial neuritis, and facial palsy all mean the same thing, and acupuncture is a very good treatment for it. In the acute stage, the main treatment should be to dispel wind and cold, to relieve pain, and in the recovery stage, the main treatment should be to restore the meridian qi of the Yangming meridian, so that the meridian qi can moisten the tendons and meridians. In the post-acute stage, it is more difficult, and usually a holistic treatment approach is taken, with localized acupuncture points and whole body acupuncture points, including those on the abdomen, working together. Acupuncture is a very good treatment for facial palsy and can be very effective in relieving it.
