Do you need to be quarantined if you find a positive nucleic acid test?

Those found to have a positive nucleic acid test will be placed in isolation. Usually, after the nucleic acid test, if there is a positive result, the person will be managed in centralized isolation or sent to a designated hospital. At the same time, the positive person needs to be reported. Nucleic acid testing is then performed daily. If there are two consecutive negative nucleic acid tests for novel coronavirus with at least 24 hours between samples, the diagnosis of a suspected case can be excluded. A positive nucleic acid test does not mean that one is infected with the novel coronavirus; it may be a false positive. This can occur as a result of cross contamination between specimens during laboratory testing or as a result of laboratory nucleic acid contamination.
