There is essentially no age limit for joint replacement, but there is a consensus in the medical community that the later the age of joint replacement, the better. Generally speaking, hip replacement can be avoided as much as possible if it is delayed until after the age of 60. With the development of society, the early onset of some diseases and the destruction of some joints due to traffic accidents, there are some cases among young people that require joint replacement. To ensure the quality of life of the patient, some patients also undergo joint replacement at a relatively young age, for example, artificial hip replacement in their 20s. Knee and other joints are advocated for joint replacement after the age of 60, but there is no definite age limit in medicine. If there is a real need, age is not an issue, and we have performed joint replacements for patients in their 90s, so age is not a major requirement for joint replacement.
