Can cold in the uterus cause infertility?

Cold in the uterus may lead to infertility, and from the perspective of Chinese medicine, “infertility with cold in the uterus” is a type of infertility. When we talk about uterine cold, we mostly refer to menstrual disorders, low menstrual flow, coldness in the abdomen during menstruation or at ordinary times, and diarrhea easily caused by cold. Uterine cold is caused by congenital constitution, acquired diet and fatigue. If the ovulation is normal and the fallopian tubes are open, uterine cold will not affect pregnancy. However, if the symptoms of uterine cold have a tendency to gradually worsen, such as severe dysmenorrhea and increased blood clots, blood stasis and obstruction will occur over time, and problems with the fallopian tubes will affect sperm-egg union and fertilized egg implantation, which will eventually lead to infertility. Gynecological diseases and endocrine problems in the female partner, as well as sperm quality in the male partner can lead to infertility, not necessarily caused by one factor, namely uterine cold. If the woman is not pregnant after more than one year of intercourse without contraception, the couple needs to go to gynecology and reproductive medicine for examination. If a woman suffers from uterine cold, she can adjust her diet by not eating too many cold drinks. Pay attention to keep warm in winter and do not stay in the air-conditioned room for a long time in summer. Chinese herbal medicine can be used to regulate and apply local heat.
