TBS refers to liquid-based thin-layer cervical cytology, or TCT, which helps to detect various lesions of the cervix at an early stage. TBS is performed by sticking a cytobrush into the cervical canal, then rotating it to take a sample, removing the cytobrush and placing it into a preservation solution, which is examined through a microscope. This test has a higher rate of cell collection and higher diagnostic accuracy than traditional pap smears. The results of this test can be broadly categorized into three types: no obvious intraepithelial neoplasia, abnormal squamous epithelial cell results, and abnormal adenoepithelial cell results. If the results are abnormal, please cooperate with your doctor for further examination to avoid delaying your condition.
