Can scarring be prevented and treated?

Can scarring be prevented and treated? The answer is yes. From the medical point of view, the size of scar formation is mainly related to two factors: 1. Patient’s factors: the severity of the trauma, the presence of infection, the size of the wound tension, the location of the injury, the shade of skin color, age and individual physical differences can cause the obviousness of the scar or not. Some patients have a tendency to scar; some areas are sensitive to scar formation, such as the earlobe, jaw, chest, scapular area, etc. Scars in these locations must be handled carefully, and incorrect treatment will lead to larger and more obvious scars; it is generally believed that people with darker skin color have a higher likelihood of growing hyperplastic scars, black > yellow > white, so it is easy to understand why the plastic surgery procedures prevalent in Europe and the United States are difficult to carry out in China. It is easy to understand why it is difficult to carry out cosmetic surgery in China, and it is difficult to see white people with long hyperplastic scars. 2, medical factors: whether the surgical operation is fine and non-invasive, whether the incision is smooth skin pattern, whether there is tension in the incision after suturing, whether the tissue is intact, whether the necrotic tissue is clean, whether the wound is tightly closed, etc. These factors can affect the scar after recovery from trauma, then it is understandable why the scar after plastic surgery is small. After being injured, the wound should be covered with clean cotton fabric (such as clothing) in time to avoid contamination of the trauma and continued injury to aggravate the trauma; if there is bleeding, compression or filling can be taken to stop the bleeding; after arriving at the hospital, it is left to the doctor, generally if there is no life threatening, no internal organ damage and no fracture, it is better to use post-traumatic plastic suture; the wound should be removed in time after healing, the thicker the suture and the greater the suture tension the more obvious the scar is. So the physician must do a good job of subcutaneous tension reduction suture to minimize the tension of the skin; the completely healed skin should be prevented by reasonable application of drugs or other measures according to the local and systemic conditions.
