Can the cough caused by lung adenocarcinoma be cured?

Cough caused by lung adenocarcinoma may be cured with the removal of the primary cancerous foci, or it may not be cured because the primary cancerous foci are difficult to remove or recur.
In recent years, lung adenocarcinoma has surpassed squamous lung cancer to become the most common lung cancer. It usually grows slowly, but sometimes metastasis can occur in early stage, and the common symptom in early stage is cough, which can be irritating when the tumor grows up in the larger bronchial tubes. When the tumor continues to grow and obstructs the bronchial tubes, secondary to lung infection, there may be a large amount of purulent sputum.
The treatment of cough caused by lung adenocarcinoma mainly relies on the treatment of the original disease. Surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy are often adopted in the treatment of lung cancer. Generally speaking, early stage lung cancer without metastasis can be treated by surgery with better results.
On the other hand, the prognosis of middle and late stage lung cancer is poorer, and the symptoms such as cough cannot be relieved due to the difficulty of removing the primary cancer foci or recurrence. Sometimes, radiotherapy and other treatments may make the lesion smaller and reduce the stimulation to trachea and bronchial tubes, thus relieving coughing symptoms.
Patients with cough caused by lung cancer should go to regular hospitals for timely consultation and early treatment.
