There are generally no specific contraindications to combining entecavir. Because entecavir is not metabolized by the liver’s cytochrome enzyme, or CVP450 enzyme, and is not metabolized by this enzyme, there are no interactions between entecavir and other drugs. Combination contraindications are in vitro interactions when two or more drugs are mixed or made into a preparation. The combination of some drugs weakens the therapeutic effect of the drugs and leads to treatment failure. The combination of some drugs increases side effects or toxicity and causes serious adverse reactions. The main side effects of entecavir tablets are effects on blood clotting, which can cause hyperlactate, osteoporosis and effects on kidney function. Therefore, it is recommended that liver and kidney function and electrolytes be checked every three months while taking entecavir. If you are using other medications, it is recommended that you consult a medical professional before using entecavir and follow your doctor’s instructions.
