We have many patients who undergo PCNL each year, and here are some common common, recovery-related matters. Common side effects include: 1. Nausea and occasional vomiting; 2. Pain is the most common event within 24 hours and can be in the kidney area, abdomen, lower back, etc., sometimes increasing with urination. Remember to take your medication. If you are going home with a stent: 1. Blood in the urine is common, drink plenty of water to dilute the urine; 2. Urinary frequency and urgency; 3. Burning pain with urination or pain with activity; 4. Bladder spasm. The stent will be removed in most patients 1-2 weeks after the procedure. The method is to enter and remove it with a cystoscope under local anesthesia or, in the case of some special stents with a caudal filament at the end, to remove it directly. When should I contact my doctor? 1. Fever with a temperature greater than 38.5°; 2. Pain medication does not relieve the pain; 3. Difficulty eating and drinking; 4. Increased hematuria with blood clots and resulting difficulty urinating. Post-operative hematuria is common, if the color of the urine can be seen through the past it is not much of a problem. How to place long stones again after surgery? 1, drink more water; 2, reduce salt intake; 3, avoid obesity; 4, take medication: only certain patients are suitable for taking medication to inhibit stone formation; 5, change the recipe, reduce soft drinks, animal protein, etc.
