How to treat hoarseness in men whose laryngeal nodes are struck by an external force

Hoarseness of the male laryngeal node by external force is a common symptom of laryngeal trauma, which is often caused by trauma resulting in swelling or hematoma of the laryngeal mucosa, deformation of the vocal folds, vocal cord rupture, or impaired movement of the vocal cords. Depending on the degree of the disease, dynamic observation, surgical treatment, and nasal feeding dietary treatment should be chosen.
1. Dynamic observation: If there is no respiratory difficulty, cartilage fracture, cricoarytenoid joint injury and vocal cord rupture, and most of the patients are suffering from mucosal edema, then they can gradually return to normal without special treatment.
2. Surgical treatment: if there is dyspnea, tracheotomy should be made to keep the airway open; if there is laryngeal cartilage fracture, especially cricoid cartilage fracture, severe tear of laryngeal mucosa, vocal cord rupture, dislocation of cricoarytenoid joints and so on, then it is necessary to carry out cartilage fracture repositioning, suture of the lacerated laryngeal mucosa, and carry out cricoarytenoid joint reset, and the laryngeal model should be placed to prevent laryngeal stenosis if necessary after the operation.
3. Nasogastric diet: Nasogastric diet should be given within 7-10 days after injury, which can reduce the movement of the larynx caused by swallowing, and is conducive to the healing of the injury site.
When the male laryngeal node is struck by external force hoarseness, should actively seek medical treatment, systematic examination to clarify the diagnosis and characteristics of the disease, follow the doctor’s instructions standardized treatment.
