What is blood thickening

Blood thickening, also called blood stickiness, is medically known as hyperviscosity. The diagnosis can be confirmed by rheological examination of the blood, which predisposes middle-aged and elderly people. The main factors affecting blood viscosity are blood cell factors, such as the number of blood cells, size, morphology, red blood cell deformability, platelet function, etc. Plasma factors, such as plasma proteins, especially fibrinogen, immunoglobulins, blood glucose, lipids, fibrinolytic activity, etc. Vascular factors, such as the length and diameter of blood vessels, and also the smoothness of the endothelium, have an effect. Emotions, life patterns, smoking, alcohol consumption, love of foods high in fats and oils, all these conditions can cause blood thickening. The main treatment is to eat bitter melon, celery and pepper to prevent thickening of the blood, and then to drink more water.
