How to use medication for liver dysfunction

Liver dysfunction is generally referred to as cirrhosis decompensation period, which is mainly triggered by viral hepatitis, chronic alcoholism and so on. The main treatments in this period are etiologic treatment, dietary treatment and active prevention and control of various complications, with drugs as auxiliary treatment. 1. Etiologic treatment: according to the special cause of early cirrhosis, treatment is actively given. For example, viral hepatitis should be treated with antiviral drugs such as entecavir or lamivudine; chronic alcoholism should be stopped immediately. 2. Dietary treatment: actively giving high protein diet can reduce protein decomposition in the body, promote protein synthesis in the liver, and strengthen the resistance of the body. Hepatic encephalopathy patients are forbidden to supplement high protein. 3. Prevention and control of various complications: Cirrhosis is characterized by portal hypertension and hepatic decompensation. Patients often die due to the complication of bleeding from esophagogastric varices, hepatic encephalopathy and other diseases, resulting in chronic failure of organ function. (1) Bleeding from esophagogastric fundus varices: early hemostasis is needed, such as taking drugs such as octreotide and growth inhibitor as prescribed by the doctor, and clinical treatments such as endoscopic therapy and balloon compression for hemostasis are performed to control it aggressively. (2) Hepatic encephalopathy: it is necessary to remove the causative factors in time and maintain liver function, such as giving lactulose to prevent constipation and taking antibiotics such as neomycin orally to control the infection as prescribed by doctors. If the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis decompensated stage, patients need to calm down, immediately go to the hospital, hospital-related examination, in order to clarify the cause of the disease, and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment, do not blindly use their own medication.
