Within 3 days after the femoral head replacement surgery, you can start to stand and walk on the ground (resisting your own gravity), and you can resume your daily life function within 2-3 months, but you should not bear too much weight (no more than 15kg). Femoral head replacement surgery is mainly used in older patients with femoral neck fracture, where an artificial femoral head is used to replace the diseased tissue. Femoral head replacement surgery can achieve the therapeutic effect of getting out of bed at an early stage (within 3 days) and can avoid the complications caused by prolonged bed rest. However, it takes 2 to 3 months to adapt to normal daily life after the operation, but severe weight bearing is prohibited, as it may lead to limited or impaired function of the artificial femoral head (not more than 15 kg). And we should also pay attention to avoid excessive internal rotation of the affected limb, excessive deep squatting and other movements to avoid dislocation of the femoral head.
