What to look for in an imaging test

The following aspects need to be noted for contrast examinations: 1. Ask patients about their allergy history; 2. Different parts of the imaging, different precautions are needed, such as gastrointestinal imaging, which requires fasting to facilitate contrast agent development in the gastrointestinal tract and digestive tract. In women, pelvic imaging, such as tubal imaging, needs to be performed 3-5 days after menstruation to avoid the effect of menstruation on the contrast agent; 3. If the patient is nervous or in severe pain, appropriate symptomatic treatment is needed, such as excessive tension, sedative drugs may be used to help eliminate anxiety and other adverse emotions. If the pain is severe and a certain position cannot be maintained, analgesic treatment, such as intramuscular injections for pain relief, may be needed before the imaging to eliminate acute severe pain that can affect the imaging.
