Most cases of impetigo on the head are caused through direct or indirect contact. Impetigo is an acute suppurative skin disease caused by infection with Staphylococcus aureus and/or Streptococcus b hemolyticus. 1. Direct contact: direct contact of the scalp with the causative organisms mentioned above, such as impetigo in other parts of the body or on the fingers, which can cause scalp infection through scratching of the scalp with the hands and lead to impetigo of the scalp. 2. Indirect contact: through contact with the patient’s contaminated items, such as combs, hats, toys, books, etc., the objects with pathogens will be in contact with the surface of the scalp, infringing on the epidermis resulting in localized suppurative inflammation. Patients with impetigo should be simply isolated, and contaminated clothing and environment should be routinely disinfected to reduce the spread of the disease, while actively choosing to use medication for anti-infective treatment, such as topical neomycin ointment, mupirocin ointment and so on. It is recommended that patients go to the hospital for examination in a timely manner, and drugs need to be used under the guidance of a professional doctor.
