There is no such thing as forcing out the cold in the knee, it should mean getting rid of the cold in the knee area, and commonly used Chinese medicines include Duhuo, Wei Ling Xian, and so on. 1. Duhuo: treats wind-cold-dampness paralysis (paralysis of the limbs caused by wind, cold and dampness), wind-cold-dampness syndrome, Shaoyin headache, itching of the skin. Adverse effects: When overdosed internally, it has an irritating effect on the gastrointestinal tract. It is not recommended to take too much of it internally, and should be taken with caution by people with yin deficiency and blood dryness (deficiency of yin fluid, dryness and heat in the blood). 2. Wei Ling Xian: It has the effects of dispelling wind-dampness, clearing channels and relieving pain (dredging channels and collaterals to relieve pain) and eliminating bone fracture. It is mainly used for treating wind-dampness paralysis, bone carp and throat, bruises, headache, toothache, gastric pain, phlegm-drinking (pathological products formed by the impaired metabolism of water and liquid), choking and diaphragm, women’s impediment (lumps in women’s lower abdomen), lumps in breast, etc. It is not recommended for people with deficiency in qi and blood. Caution is advised for those with weak qi and blood. A single traditional Chinese medicine is generally not a treatment option, and patients are advised to undergo regular treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
