Yunnan Baiyao has the effects of resolving blood stasis and stopping bleeding, activating blood circulation and relieving pain (relieving pain by removing blood stasis), detoxifying and subduing swelling. It is used in treating bruises, blood stasis and swelling, vomiting blood, coughing blood, blood in stool, hemorrhoidal blood, bleeding from leakage, surgical bleeding, sores and soft tissue contusion, closed bone fracture, bronchial dilatation and coughing blood from tuberculosis, bleeding from ulcerative diseases, and skin infectious diseases. There are occasional allergic reactions when taking this medicine. Pregnant women are contraindicated; allergic individuals are contraindicated; menstruating and lactating women should be cautious; within one day of taking the drug, avoid eating fava beans, fish and cold and sour food.
