After sun exposure, many patients will have visible erythema on the body, and some serious patients may even have localized skin edema, blisters, and breakouts, which is clinically called sunburn, also known as solar dermatitis. Treatment can begin with the use of a cool, chilled towel placed on the skin to play a calming and soothing role, and can be combined with topical application of glyburide lotion and glucocorticoid ointment. If there are ulcers and oozing, patients can apply local wet compresses like boric acid solution, diluted potassium permanganate solution for disinfection and anti-inflammation, and patients can also take oral antihistamines and glucocorticoids for treatment. Some patients must be instructed in the near future not to go through sun exposure again, which will aggravate the progress of the disease.
