Parametria, a congenital developmental malformation of multiple breasts and nipples, is the presence of breast tissue on body parts other than the breast. During the embryonic period, there are 6-8 pairs of breast primordia on the fetus. As the fetus grows and develops, it retains the next pair on the chest until birth, and the remaining ones will all degenerate before birth. If they do not degenerate completely, parametrium will appear after birth and during later growth and development. There are three types of parametrial breasts: those with breast tissue and no nipple; those with nipple and no breast tissue; and those with nipple and breast tissue. There are various causes of parametrial pain, both physiological and pathological, which are as follows: 1. Physiological: (1) Premenstrual swelling and pain, related to hormonal changes in the body: usually within a week before the onset of menstruation, the breast will continue to be painful. (2) A large amount of milk secretion: factors such as milk rising can cause milk stagnation and cause pain. (3) Endocrine disorders: Long-term endocrine disorders in women can also cause pain in the parametrium. (2) Pathological: (1) Breast hyperplasia: Breast hyperplasia is a more common disease in normal breasts, and there will be lumps in the breast, causing breast swelling and pain. (2) Breast cancer: It is also a cause of parametrial pain. The incidence of this malignant tumor is very high and is mainly related to endocrine factors and other factors. (3) Lymph node enlargement: This cause of parametrial pain is also very common, as lymph node enlargement itself is quite common and can occur from young children to the elderly. Therefore, to summarize, when you find parametrial pain, you should go to the hospital as soon as possible for examination to find out the root cause of the pain to avoid delaying the treatment of the disease.
