What does Neosporin Halometasone Triclosan Cream do?

Neosporin Halometasone Triclosan Cream, generally referred to as Halometasone/Triclosan Cream, is used for the treatment of secondary infections that have been complicated by triclosan-sensitive bacteria, such as seborrheic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, restrictive neurodermatitis, nummular eczema, skin abrasions, and dermatofungal diseases, all of which are primarily characterized by acute inflammation.
Halometasone/triclosan cream is a topical glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-proliferative, antibacterial, and vasoconstrictive properties, and can be used to treat inflammatory dermatoses of all types and in all parts of the body that have been complicated by secondary infections with triclosan-sensitive bacteria, for which corticosteroids have been shown to be effective. For example, seborrheic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, and limited neurodermatitis.
Adverse reactions such as skin atrophy, itching, erythema, and burning sensation at the site of application may occur with the use of Halometasone/Triclosan Cream. It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to the active ingredient or any other ingredient of this drug. This drug should not be used for the treatment of fungal or bacterial skin diseases without acute inflammation.
