Causes of hidden pain in the rib cage below the left chest in women

In women, a vague pain in the ribs below the left side of the chest, an obscure pain symptom, is mostly due to costochondritis. Women in particular are a good candidate for costochondritis, mainly because women’s bodies are relatively less tolerant than men’s, including muscles, ligaments, fascia and even fibrocartilage. Once these tissues are subjected to forces beyond their tolerance, local damage can occur and inflammatory reactions can occur, as in the case of costochondritis. The accumulation of local damage causes a mild inflammation of the rib cartilage, which results in a mild painful symptom of vague pain in the early stages of costochondritis, but the more damage accumulates the more painful it becomes. In addition to work, most women have heavy household chores, which can easily overexert the body and make the chondromalacia more likely to occur.
