This is an issue that is of great concern to everyone. For each individual, the level of pain tolerance is different and the actual sensation varies greatly. For those who undergo the procedure, especially for the first time, it is the emotional tension rather than the actual pain (or even the feeling that it is not too painful) that is felt most obviously. Often people will feel relieved after the procedure, stating that the pain is not very bad, but that they are just too emotionally tense. Lipofilling of the full face can be done under local anesthesia. Preventive measures for pain management include oral pain medication before the procedure, local infiltration anesthesia during the procedure, and block anesthesia (anesthesia medication injected near the nerve fibers in the face). If needed, additional sedation anesthesia (understood as sleep anesthesia, which can be awakened) can be added to the procedure, which can be completely painless. If complete painlessness is required, the added cost of anesthesia and the hassle of hospitalization arrangements are essential. The operative area is not very painful after lipofilling, and while some people can easily go to dinner and shopping after completing the procedure, others prefer bed rest. If needed, some oral pain medication will be more comfortable. Some forehead filler surgeons experience reactive dizziness and headaches due to pulling on the supraorbital nerve, which can usually be relieved with rest and the discomfort usually does not last more than 12 hours.
