Bleeding during intercourse a few days before menstruation is mostly seen in the following cases: 1. Chronic cervicitis or cervical erosion. Clinical manifestations are usually increased leucorrhea, which may be accompanied by yellow or purulent leucorrhea. After intercourse, vaginal bleeding occurs, with small amount and red color. Gynecological examination reveals cervical erosion, redness, and blood on the surface. 2. Cervical polyps. Long-term inflammatory stimulation leads to local cell proliferation of the cervix, and cervical polyps appear. Clinical manifestations are bright red vaginal bleeding after intercourse and when abdominal pressure increases. Most patients are seen with abnormal vaginal bleeding, and gynecological examination reveals flesh-like excrescences at the vaginal opening with brittle texture and bleeding when touched. Women with unexplained bleeding need to seek immediate medical attention to identify the cause and then treat the symptoms.
