I. Initial consultation
When we first saw the patient, the patient had a red rash on the left side of the face with surface rupture and was depressed and despondent. The patient reported that a papule appeared on her face half a month ago, accompanied by itching, but she did not care about it because of her work. The patient was found to have erythematous skin on the left side of the face with clear boundaries and a dry surface with a small amount of scales, and was asked about the patient’s busy schedule, often ordering take-out and eating spicy and greasy food.
Second, the treatment process
After the diagnosis of eczema was confirmed, I informed the patient that the disease could be treated with general medication, and that oral medication plus topical medication could be used in conjunction with it. The patient agreed, so I prescribed dexloratadine tablets to be taken orally to relieve the patient’s itchy skin, along with topical hyaluronic acid gel dressing and dexloratadine cream to help reduce inflammation and promote healing of the lesion at the same time. In addition, I also reminded patients that they should also avoid using cosmetics on a daily basis, pay attention to cleaning the skin with warm water, avoid using irritating soaps, eat fresh and light foods appropriately, and avoid eating greasy, spicy, and high-sugar foods.
Third, the effect of treatment
The patient’s facial erythema improved significantly after the combination of medication and daily care. On the 4th day of drug treatment, the patient’s facial erythema became lighter in color, the itching symptoms were relieved, the scaling symptoms disappeared, and the broken parts were also improved. On the 7th day of drug treatment, the color of the patient’s facial erythema basically disappeared, and the itching symptoms had completely disappeared, so the treatment effect was more satisfactory. At the time of review, the patient’s facial skin had completely returned to normal and the symptoms of dry skin had been relieved, and the patient was very happy.
IV. Precautions
Seeing that the patient’s skin symptoms were relieved and her face was smiling again after medication, I felt happy for her from the bottom of my heart, and at the same time reminded her that she should also pay attention to the following points in her daily life.
1, patients should pay attention to maintain a healthy diet, avoid eating some spicy, greasy irritating food, including hot pot, fried food, etc., and also pay attention to avoid drinking alcohol, so as not to stimulate the skin leading to aggravation of symptoms.
