Minocycline, or Minocycline Hydrochloride, may cause nephritis if taken, and should be used according to medical advice. Common dosage forms of Minocycline Hydrochloride include tablets and capsules. Prolonged use of this product may cause interstitial nephritis, acute renal failure, elevated blood urea nitrogen. It may also cause central nervous system side effects, including dizziness, lightheadedness, or vertigo; toxic epidermal necrolysis release; cerebral pseudotumor (benign increased intracranial pressure), which is usually clinically characterized by headache and blurred vision; and hepatic dysfunction, among other adverse effects. Minocycline hydrochloride can be used for urinary tract and genital infections, superficial or deep septic infections, respiratory tract infections, syphilis, ear and nose infections, and peritonitis caused by sensitive bacteria. The drug is contraindicated in people who are allergic to any tetracyclines or ingredients in the product. It is contraindicated in pregnant women and women preparing for pregnancy. Breastfeeding should be suspended during the use of the drug in breastfeeding women. Minocycline should be used reasonably under the guidance of a doctor.
