The pathogenesis of venous malformation of the tongue is not clear, and it may be related to a defective development of the venous system. Clinical treatments include medication, surgery and physical therapy. 1. Drug treatment: at present, sclerotherapy can be used as a single method, which can be used in combination with laser and surgery to effectively control the lesion and improve the appearance, and the common sclerosing agents are paxillin, polyglutinol and anhydrous ethanol and so on. 2. Surgery: In most cases, surgery for tongue vein deformity can only play an auxiliary role, aiming at improving the shape of the face, generally suitable for limited venous deformity. 3. Physical therapy: NdYAG laser is a common method nowadays, which can be transmitted into any part of the oral cavity by means of a fiber-optic transmission and can produce a coagulation effect, prompting tissue contraction.
