There are various clinical manifestations of thyroid tumors, and we should observe them carefully in our life in order to detect them early and seek medical attention in time. In the early stage of thyroid tumor, when the lump does not reach 1cm, the patient may not have any conscious symptoms, or may have a slight discomfort, which may be manifested by feeling the lump move up and down when swallowing, but no pressure pain. As the disease progresses, patients may experience symptoms of thyrotoxicosis, and most of them may have hyperthyroidism, and some may even develop hyperthyroid crisis. If the thyroid tumor expands rapidly within a short period of time, the surface of the tumor is rough and uneven, the movement of the tumor is restricted or fixed, the lymph nodes in the neck are enlarged, and critical symptoms such as hoarseness and even difficulty in breathing may occur. If ultrasound examination of thyroid gland is done at this time, the mass may be cystic or substantial, and regardless of benign or malignant tumor, the iodine uptake rate and all functions of thyroid gland are mostly normal, and the nuclear scan shows heat nodules or warm nodules with clear borders. Therefore, we can find many specific symptomatic manifestations of thyroid adenoma, both from the patient’s self-perception and from the auxiliary examination, through which we can better confirm the diagnosis for treatment.
