Urgent care or outpatient care for fever

Patients with fever who go to the hospital during daily working hours can be seen in the general outpatient clinic, or in general hospitals with medical conditions, in the fever clinic, where a specialist in the fever clinic takes a history and examines the patient, and completes a preliminary examination to clarify the cause of the fever for further treatment or triage. If a patient develops a fever at night, he or she should go to the emergency department of the hospital, where the emergency physician will perform the above-mentioned operations to determine the patient’s condition initially and give symptomatic antipyretic treatment. When the condition is clear, the patient can be referred to a specialist for further examination and treatment. Fever is commonly associated with general bacterial and viral infections such as influenza, common cold, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
