Eyelid xanthoma will not go away automatically and needs to be improved by medication, physical therapy and surgery.
Blepharocanthoma often occurs symmetrically in the inner canthus of the face, and clinically manifests as yellow papules or flat orange plaques of irregular shape and size. Once formed, it will not disappear automatically and will remain unchanged or keep growing.
1. Medication: Simvastatin and other medications can be taken to lower the patient’s blood lipids, which will help to eliminate the blepharoplasty.
2. Physical therapy: For smaller blepharoplastomas, physical methods such as electrocoagulation, carbon dioxide laser cauterization and liquid nitrogen freezing can be used to eliminate them.
3. Surgery: When blepharoplakia is large, it can be removed through surgery, which can remove the lesion and reduce recurrence.
Eyelid xanthoma will not disappear automatically, patients who have the need for cosmetic appearance should consult a doctor in time for treatment under medical advice.
