Can gallbladder sediment be drained by drinking more water?

Most gallbladder sediment-like stones cannot be removed by drinking more water. Unlike urinary stones, gallbladder sediment-like stones are caused by excessive cholesterol levels in the gallbladder leading to crystal precipitation, at which point drinking more water will not improve the cholesterol levels, and therefore will not improve the condition of the gallbladder stones. The natural expulsion of gallbladder stones is mainly due to contraction of the gallbladder and a change in the fluid dynamics of the bile. If there are no clinical symptoms, gallbladder sedimentary stones can be left untreated or treated with medication such as ursodeoxycholic acid capsules, and close observation is sufficient. If symptoms occur or if there are risk factors such as diabetes or heart disease, cholecystectomy can be performed. It is recommended that patients suffering from gallbladder sedimentary stones should consult a doctor in time and choose the appropriate method of treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
