So-called early-stage lung tumor is defined as a tumor ≤ 3 cm without hilar lymph node metastasis, mediastinal lymph node metastasis, and even less distant metastasis. This kind of early lung tumor can be cured by radical surgical resection plus systemic lymph node dissection. The 5-year survival rate after surgery is over 70%, and even long-term survival is possible. Moreover, for early stage lung cancer without lymph node metastasis confirmed by postoperative pathology, radiotherapy, chemotherapy or targeted therapy can be dispensed with after surgery, which is a very good prognosis situation. Early detection of lung tumor mainly relies on regular medical checkups, especially for middle-aged and old people who have been smoking for a long time, they need to have regular lung CT scan for early detection of lung tumor, and radical surgery can be done to remove lung tumor to achieve cure.
