What is invasive microsurgery

Traumatic microsurgery should refer to minimally invasive surgery, which is a type of surgery performed through special minimally invasive surgical instruments. Clinically, it is mainly used in the abdominal cavity, retroperitoneum, limb joints and other parts of the body. At present, the more mature minimally invasive surgeries include laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic decapitation and drainage of renal cysts, and the lavage and treatment of knee joint cavities. As the level of medical technology continues to advance, many neoplastic lesions can be accomplished under minimally invasive surgery, such as laparoscopic radical treatment of gastric cancer and laparoscopic resection of malignant tumors of the liver. Minimally invasive surgery avoids the larger incision of traditional surgery, less traumatic surgery, more delicate surgical operation, less damage to the surrounding organs, and faster postoperative recovery of the patient, which not only shortens the hospitalization time, but also saves the medical cost.
