Breast fibroid surgery can be divided into traditional incisional surgery and minimally invasive surgery of the breast, and the procedures for these two types of surgery can vary.
1. Traditional Incision Surgery: Traditional incision surgery usually involves subcutaneous injection of lidocaine into the local skin. Then the skin and subcutaneous tissue are incised layer by layer. Finally the fibroid tumor is bluntly secreted. The tumor is removed followed by sequential suturing of the skin.
2. Minimally invasive surgery of the breast: Breast fibroids can also be treated with minimally invasive surgery of the breast. The first step is to make an incision using local infiltration anesthesia with lidocaine. An incision of about 0.5 cm is made in the skin. Ultrasound is then used to determine the exact location of the fibroid tumor. A scalpel is inserted underneath the tumor and the breast fibroid is removed.
The general procedure for breast fibroid surgery is as above. Because each patient with breast fibroids has a different condition, the exact surgical treatment plan will vary slightly.
