If it is a simple fracture, no obvious displacement and no joint involved, it only needs to be fixed and braked with a cast or external fixation brace, while avoiding weight-bearing activities on the ground, and also with medication, such as oral and external medication, as well as acupuncture, infrared and other physical therapy treatments. After these treatments, the fracture is usually reviewed in the hospital about four weeks after the injury, and if there is no problem, the cast or external fixation support can be removed and the crutches can be used for weight-bearing activities. If the fracture is severely displaced, or even a comminuted fracture or a fracture involving a joint, surgery is recommended. Because surgery is a relatively fast recovery treatment, the prognosis is also better, the later limb function recovery also has certain benefits.
