Tetracycline Ointment

Tetracycline Ointment has antiseptic properties.
The main ingredient of tetracycline ointment is tetracycline, which is a broad-spectrum bactericidal agent in the form of light yellow or yellow ointment with bactericidal efficacy in high concentration. The main mechanism of action is to affect the synthesis of bacterial proteins by inhibiting the growth of peptide chains; however, Gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococci and most Enterobacteriaceae may be resistant to tetracycline ointment.
Tetracycline ointment is suitable for skin infections caused by sensitive Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, etc.. To use, wash the affected area with water, then apply tetracycline ointment evenly on the affected area, 1~3 times a day. Patients who are allergic to tetracyclines are prohibited from using it.
