Auxiliary treatment of hyperthyroidism can be based on the different types of evidence of the use of four sea Shu Yu pill, seaweed jade pot soup, gardenia liver soup and other traditional Chinese medicine classic formula. Hyperthyroidism, short for hyperthyroidism, belongs to the category of “gall disease” in Chinese medicine.
1. Four seas Shu Yu pill: the efficacy of the formula for the regulation of qi, dissolve depression, phlegm gall, mainly for qi and phlegm obstruction type gall disease. In this formula, seaweed and kombu soften and disperse knots (soften and dissipate hard lumps); and muxiang and chenpi regulate qi and strengthen the spleen (regulate qi and strengthen the spleen) to resolve phlegm. 2. Seaweed Yuhu Tang: This formula has the efficacy of regulating qi and activating blood circulation, resolving phlegm and eliminating galls, and is mainly used for phlegm-conjugation and blood stasis type galls. In this formula, seaweed and kombu are salty in taste, which can soften and disperse knots; Qingpi and Chenpi regulate qi and relieve depression; Chenpi and Semixia regulate qi and strengthen the spleen, and dry dampness and resolve phlegm (to remove phlegm by drying dampness); and Angelica sinensis and Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong invigorate blood circulation. The adverse effects and contraindications of this formula are not clear.
3.gardenia clearing liver soup: this formula has the effect of clearing liver fire, eliminating gall and dispersing knots, applicable to gall disease of exuberant liver fire type. The gardenia in the formula clears the liver fire, Chaihu dredges the liver and dissolves the depression (through dredging the liver qi to treat the depression disease), which can improve the symptoms of hyperthyroidism, panic, upset and irritability. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this formula are not known.
